About Pastor Scott

Grace and Peace in the name of the Risen and Ascended Lord of All, Jesus Christ.  I am the pastor of Hope in Christ Church in Bellingham, Washington.  I began serving this church in December 2007.  We are a small church of 130 people, with many young families and lots of young kids.  We love Jesus, desire his kingdom to come, believe that Scripture should point to Christ and want our children to be rooted in the historic, reformed faith.

We are part of the Christian Reformed Church of North America (CRCNA).

I was reading your blog on Heb 13:17 and really like the way you have God’s heart for the church and how it should function. The leaders have a responsibility, and so do the people. And if each are submitted to God, it makes it a joy. I liked that you were writing this or giving it as a sermon, for you were also ordaining your elders or deacons. I appreciate your heart for God, and the love you have for your congregation. I read where you have about 150 in your church. If your church has 150 committed Christians, that would be better than a thousand who are going to church to say they went. Like Psalm 84:10b ” I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of the wicked.” God will richly bless you and your congregation as you walk with HIm. Thanks for your blog or sermon on the internet. It inspired me.
