The Replay of John 14:1-14

There are two ways to the Father: The way that Jesus took and the way all other people must take.  Jesus’ way involved death, betrayal, submission and obedience.  It was a path of great difficulty and culminated in immense physical, emotional and spiritual suffering as the Son of God was cut off from the Living God and betrayed by his friends.  But because Jesus trod this path, he was able to appease the wrath of God and make a way for all others to come before the Father.  Our path to God involves being clothed in Christ – ‘No one comes to the Father except through me…I am the way, the truth and the life.’  When we are wrapped up in Christ his life becomes our life, his righteousness becomes our righteousness and his punishment for our sin becomes our punishment so that we never need to suffer God’s wrath again.  What a wonderful message of hope, go forth and proclaim it loudly to a world in need of Jesus.
