Replay of Micah 4:1-5

Micah gives us great hope of a future where peace reigns and where the worship of God transforms people and nations.  It is so easy to think that the idyllic time Micah and the other prophets preach about is in the distant future and will only occur after the second coming of Christ, but this is not entirely accurate.  True, the fullest realization of the time of peace will only happen when all evil is erased from the world and the New Creation reaches its culmination but we can experience the peace and utopia Micah preaches about now.

How you may ask, by worshipping Christ, he is the mountain of the Lord’s temple that has been exalted.  In him, the nations learn the decrees of God.  In him, the people find peace with God and hence peace with each other.  In him, life takes on a completely new appearance.  So let us pray for workers in the harvest fields and let us become those workers, preaching about the new life Christ brings.
